Thanks for your comment! Of course you are right to invoke a healthy skepticism of unverified "digital" information. However, the infamous War of the Worlds radio broadcast was analog, not digital, as the Internet was not invented until 1957 when a lab assistant accidentally plugged a transistor radio into the UNIVAC supercomputer.
